Andrew and wife Georgie with twins Leni and Beckett in their transformed space. New 2.9m-high ceilings, walls and a floor were added, as well as recessed lighting, to an area that used to have grey carpet, rounded walls and [pendant lighting](http://www.homestolove.com.au/14-pendant-lights-that-pack-a-punch-2989|target="_blank"). Andrew created the artwork he’s in front of as well as the zinc-topped dining table. The stools are [Artec](http://www.artek.fi/products/chairs/128|target="_blank"|rel="nofollow") and the Bertoia chairs are from [Dedece](http://www.dedece.com/|target="_blank"|rel="nofollow").
In the main living room is a glass curtain wall separating the ground and first floors. Andrew designed the green marble and black steel coffee table and custom mirror. Recessed shelves in black oxide steel open into the kitchen. A custom-designed mirror fits the space perfectly, in this case sweeping up to the first floor.

A painting by Andrew hangs alongside a sideboard he designed in oak and brass. It conceals a drinks cabinet and a TV on a hydraulic lift slides behind. On top is one of his most prized possessions, a work by Raphael (Sanzio) painted in the 16th century and bought in Paris.

On the first floor is the family room and another of Andrew’s designs, the coffee table. The digital artwork in front is also one of his pieces. The steel windows were custom-made by [Skyrange](http://www.skyrange.com.au/|target="_blank"|rel="nofollow").

A Jorge Ferrari Hardoy “Butterfly Chair” by [Knoll](http://www.knoll.com/|target="_blank"|rel="nofollow") brings warm tones to the upstairs living room, as does the American oak flooring and [rug from RC+D](http://www.rc-d.com.au/|target="_blank"|rel="nofollow"). Andrew designed the console using American oak and Arabescato Sea marble.

The main bedroom was enlarged to include a wall of built-in cupboards and oak study nook. Above the bed is a work called Evening #5.
